Dear Diary,

I haven't been able to compete the past few meets because of a foot injury. At the PKI I was on my last event, floor. I did a sky high double layout, and was ready to hit a great floor routine. When I landed my second pass, a whip-whip double pike, my ankle was turned in and I heard a pop. I immediately fell to the ground. I got an MRI and I had 2 torn ligaments. I was in a boot for a little more than 6 weeks, with tons of therapy and conditioning. Thankfully I was able to compete at regionals!!! I had a great meet for only training for about 2 weeks. I made everything except beam. I fell on my series and since my foot wasn't 100%, I just did a round-off layout dismount. So I ended up with a 36.975, good enough for 2nd on bars and floor, and 5th all-around! I was soooo happy! After regionals were all said and done, there were 13 parkette girls that finished in the top 7 and 2 alternates. Overall a great weekend for Parkettes. Next up Nationals...

Nationals were in Oklahoma City, which were fun since I have never been to Oklahoma before. I didn't do as well as I hoped I would have done. I missed my geinger on bars, which I have only missed I think twice since I have competed it, spilt the beam on my front aerial, but made my double full dismount off beam. It wasn't the prettiest thing in the world, but it was a C dismount. I hit floor, and got a 9.525...which gave me 7th place. I missed my first vault, and made my second and got a 9.25. So, it wasn't my best meet at all.

Right now I am taking 2 weeks off of pounding on my foot. So that means tons of bars again!!! Somehow I have gotten used to bars 24/7. lol. I am enjoying the recruiting process. I haven't decided where I am going to go to college yet, but I have some schools in mind.

I love school!!! I am having a great time and I am doing really well in all my classes.

Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of me!
