Sharky is one busy young lady! Training is like a full time job for her! Here Sharky explains her whole weekly routine both for the majority of the year and her altered summer training. As you can see, Sharky is very dedicated to her sport, but tries to fit it round schooling and being a normal teenager!

Fall, Winter and Spring
Mondays
I usually get up at around 7:20 a.m. eat breakfast and get ready for practice. We leave for the gym at around 7:50. Practice starts at 8:30. In the morning workouts we go from 8:30-12:30 and do 3 events and our general warm-up (running, conditioning, stretching, and basic tumbling), Vault or Floor, Beam and Bars. Then we have a break from 12:30-2:00. We usually do school work and eat lunch at that time. After our break it's back to work-out! The afternoon usually goes from 2:00-4:30. We do Vault or Floor, depending on which event we did in the morning, and do a 30 minute workout on Bars and Beam again. We usually do new skills or do a couple more routines on each event. Then its conditioning. On Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's we lift weights. So today we lift weights for conditioning! Then I am usually home by 5:30. When I get home I do more school work and eat dinner. When I am done with my school work, I usually go on the computer, watch TV and get in the shower. I go to bed around 9:30.
Tuesday
Tuesday is pretty much the same thing as Monday, except we don't do weights for conditioning. We do regular strength. And I go home do school work, eat dinner, watch TV, go on the computer, and go to bed!!!
Wednesday
Before practice, I go to my Math teacher. I wake up at 7:00, eat breakfast and get ready for gym. I go to my math teachers house at 7:30. I usually do and hour with him because I have practice at 9:00. Today is our short day!!! Yay!! At the gym we do our normal warm-up. Today we usually do about and hour on bars and beam. We usually do tramp instead on floor and some dance for about 45 min. We sometimes vault for a half hour. Then after gym we go lift weights at Allentown Sports Medicine from 1:15 till around 2:30. My mom picks me up and I get to go home!! I am usually home by 3:00 and start my school work. I love Wednesday's cause I am home so early! After I'm done with my school work, I go on the computer, watch TV and get in the shower. And I eat dinner too!!! I got go bed at around 9:30.
Thursday
Thursday's are the same as Tuesday's!!!
Friday
IT'S FRIDAY...YAY!!! I wake up at 8:00, eat breakfast and get ready for gym. We take my brother to school and then drive up to the gym. Friday practices are usually 9:00-2:30 or 3:00. We do all the events, but don't have to go back to bars or beam!! I am usually home by 3:30 or 4:00. I go home and do my school work. I watch TV, go on the computer, get a shower and eat dinner. I don't go to bed at 9:30 cause I don't have gym tomorrow!!
Saturday
I wake up at 8:15, at breakfast and get ready to go to my math teacher's house. I have math from 9:00-11:00. After tutoring I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want!! I sometimes go to the mall or the movies. If I need to do some more school work, that is when I get caught up. I eat dinner and get in the shower, watch TV, and go on the computer. Then I have practice the next morning, so I go to bed at 9:30.
Sunday
I wake up at 7:30, eat breakfast and get dressed for practice. We have practice from 8:30-2:00. We do every event, except we don't go back to bars or beam!! I am home by 2:30 or 3:00. Sunday afternoon's I do whatever I want! Sometimes I go outside or I just stay inside and find stuff to do! I eat dinner and get in the shower and I go to bed at 8:30.
Summer
In the summer we go from 6:45 a.m and go till 4:00, Monday-Friday. On Sunday's we do our normal schedule from the winter. Wednesday's are usually a little shorter also! The schedule changes every year, I don't know what we are doing yet this year!!!!! After gym though...I usually come home and go in my pool! I eat dinner and get a shower. I go to bed at 9:00 because I get really tired from practice in the summer!
